We would like to emphasize that at Hotel Villa Magdalena is the most important well-being of our guests, employees, their families, partners and fellow citizens, so we act responsibly and carefully monitor the development of the coronavirus situation (COVID-19) and take steps in accordance with the recommended procedures and protocols issued by the Croatian Institute for Public Health, as well as the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
It is important to note that our destination is under control without a case of contagion or suspicion being detected at the hotel since opening on 11.05.2020.Throughout the time of closure of the hotel we have been working on the preparation of new work organization and adaptation of space to our employees and our guests ensure a seamless safety in accordance with the latest guidelines and standards of hygiene and cleanliness and best practice world’s best hotels.
On the website croatiacovid19.info you can follow the number of active cases by region. Krapinsko-zagorska country (as part of Croatian Zagorje region) has been a county with a small number of infected people per 100,000 inhabitants throughout the past.
We decided to make it easier for you to plan your vacation and to adjust the booking and cancellation conditions to your current situation.
For all bookings received in the following period and for the travel period to 12/24/2020 the free cancellation policy is valid until 36h before arrival.

Rules at the border when entering Croatia
All EU/EEA nationals and persons with permanent residence in EU/EEA country can enter Croatia freely, without restrictions
As of July 1st 2020, citizens of EU/EEA countries and persons with permanent residence in EU/EEA country can enter Croatia freely, without restrictions and they do not have to prove the reason for their arrival (e.g. business, economic, tourist, etc.).
For easier and faster border crossing, we recommend submitting your data in advance via the website entercroatia.mup.hr. In this way you can avoid additional delays at the border crossing as the border police will have your data in the system.
Passengers who have registered on entercroatia.mup.hr website will receive on their email address a confirmation of receipt and all the necessary information related to the instructions and recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
Passengers who do not submit their data in advance via this application will be able to do so at the border crossing when entering the Republic of Croatia.
Rules for entering the Republic of Croatia for non EU/EAA countries
For foreign citizens from other EU countries, there is no mandatory self-isolation when entering the Republic of Croatia. When entering the Republic of Croatia, guests will need to have a document confirming the reservation of accommodation in Croatia, which contains the place/address of the accommodation facility where the guest will stay, contact phone number and length of stay, i.e. the date when the guest plans to leave the Republic of Croatia.

At the border crossing, guests will also receive a leaflet with general and special recommendations and instructions from the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
On the ‘Re-open EU’ European Commission website you can check, in real time, information on travel within the European Union, the situation at the borders, and all available transport and tourism services in EU member states.
Our new point of view at guest and employee safety
At Hotel Villa Magdalena we have always strictly taken care of cleanliness and hygiene. Since the beginning of the epidemic, we have paid special attention to the disinfection of all individual rooms, common rooms, swimming pools, hot tubs. Throughout the closure of the hotel, we have worked to prepare a new organization of work and adapt the space to ensure our employees and our guests impeccable safety in accordance with the latest hygiene and cleanliness guidelines and standards.
We carry out strict and detailed procedures for cleaning accommodation units, disinfection of all surfaces and equipment that are possible in contact with guests, strict chlorine disinfection of each whirlpool after the departure of the guest, detailed cleaning of the bathroom, all contact surfaces – handles, buttons. Cleaning and change of bed linen and towels can be done according to existing standards or according to your wishes. If possible, we follow the rule that there is an interval between several days between the arrival of the guest in the same accommodation unit.

The use of common areas of restaurants, outdoor terraces, swimming pools, wellness and fitness is adapted to the health and social requirements of epidemiologists (mandatory use of disinfectants, respect for distance and the maximum number of people in a particular area). All services are available.
