Hotel is open to all guests
The hotel works in accordance with the accepted epidemiological measures and recommendations by the authorities. Hotel, hotel services (swimming pool, saunas, massages, fitness) and restaurant services are available to all guests – both guests with or without accommodation. From 1.3.2021. our restaurant is also open to outside visitors.
At Hotel Villa Magdalena we have always taken strict care of cleanliness and hygiene, and we have given special attention to disinfection of all individual and common rooms. We have prepared a new organization of work and space in accordance with the guidelines and standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
We carry out strict and detailed procedures for cleaning accommodation units, disinfection of all surfaces and equipment that comes into contact with guests, strict chlorine disinfection of each whirlpool after the departure of the guest, detailed cleaning of the bathroom, all contact surfaces – handles, buttons. Cleaning and change of bed linen and towels can be done according to existing standards or according to your wishes. If possible, we respect the rule that there is an interval of several days between the arrival of the guest in the same accommodation unit.

The use of common areas of restaurants, swimming pools, wellness is adjusted to the health and social requirements of epidemiologists (mandatory use of disinfectants, mandatory use of masks indoors, respect for distance and the maximum number of people in a particular area). The use of a steam sauna according to the currently valid measures of the CNIPH is not allowed. All other services are available.
We will try to make your stay in Villa Magdalena and the destination Krapinske Toplice a holiday to remember – without fear, maximally relaxing with a special experience of the uniqueness of accommodation, wellness and gastronomy that we have provided so far.

Hrvatsko Zagorje – a safe destination
We want to emphasize that in Hotel Villa Magdalena we care about wellbeing of our guests, employees, their families, partners and fellow citizens, so we act responsibly and carefully monitor the development of the coronavirus situation (COVID-19) and take steps in accordance with recommended procedures and protocols issued by Croatian National Institute of Public Health, as well as the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
It is important to note that our destination is under control, and that in the hotel from 11.5.2020. no case of infection of the guest or suspicion of the same was recorded.
Rules at the border when entering Croatia
For easier and faster border crossing, we advise you to submit your data in advance via the website entercroatia.mup.hr. This will prevent additional delays at the border crossing as the border police will have data in the system.
Passengers who have registered on the entercroatia.mup.hr website will receive a confirmation of the received announcement and all the necessary information related to the instructions and recommendations of the CNIPH to their e-mail address.
Passengers who do not submit their data in advance via the above application will be able to do all this at the border crossing when entering the Republic of Croatia.
On the pages of the European Commission, ‘Re-open EU’, you can check in real time information on travel within the European Union and the situation at the borders, as well as all available transport and tourism services in the Member States.
Transit through Austria, Italy and Slovenia to Croatia flows completely unhindered.
People who come to the Republic of Croatia on holiday from green countries do not need to present a test or have the obligation of self-isolation.
Passengers coming to the Republic of Croatia from EU / EEA member states / regions, who are not currently on the green list of the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention, must present one of the following:
negative PCR test or rapid antigen test – BAT on SARS-CoV-2 not older than 48 hours (counting from the time of swab collection to arrival at the border crossing) and is listed on the Joint List of Rapid Tests. In the case of a rapid antigen test and a stay of more than 10 days in the Republic of Croatia, it must retest the test by the tenth day from the date of issue of that test.
People who have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 180 days are exempt from the obligation to obtain a negative PCR test and self-isolation. To prove that they have survived COVID-19, passengers must present a positive PCR or antigen test result made 6 months ago, with this confirmation valid no earlier than the eleventh day from the day of arrival of the positive test and no later than 180 days from the day of the first positive test. ; or a medical certificate issued by a physician.
Persons who have a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 (regardless of the type of vaccine) are exempted from the obligation to obtain a negative PCR test and self-isolation (should contain evidence that at least 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of vaccine, for Modern 14 days from 1 .doses). Exceptionally, in the case of a single-dose vaccine, an acknowledgment of receipt of a single dose if the dose was received more than 14 days before the date of crossing the state border.
or perform PCR testing or rapid antigen testing – BAT on SARS-CoV-2 immediately upon arrival in the Republic of Croatia (at its own expense), with the obligation of self-isolation until a negative finding arrives. In case of impossibility of testing, a measure of self-isolation is determined for a period of ten (10) days.
Children under the age of 7 who travel accompanied by a parent are exempted from the obligation to present a negative test result and the obligation to self-isolate if the parents have a negative PCR or RAT (antigen) test.
People from other countries must provide a negative PCR- test no older than 48 hours upon entering Croatia, or must be tested upon entering and remain in self-isolation until they receive their negative results. Confirmation of paid accommodation in the hotel is also required.

NEW- arrange PCR testing nearby the hotel!
It is possible to arrange PCR testing nearby of the Hotel in Krapinske Toplice (with the possibility of obtaining the results on the same day or the next day latest).
The price of the PCR test is 700,00 kn (around 90 EUR), and prior notice and reservation is required at the hotel reception.
Following these measures, and as a sign of solidarity with our guests, Hotel Villa Magdalena in these challenging times provides with additional 10% discount on the booked accommodation service charged at the Reception to all guests who have made a reservation with Hotel’s direct reservation system for a minimum stay of 3 nights or more.
