Find out the interesting story about the life and culture of the Krapina Neanderthal, enjoy the many multimedia components and other contents, as well as very specific architecture. Marked paths connect the new museum with the Neanderthal excavation site on the Hu\u0161njakovo hill.<br \/>The museum is located in Krapina, 15 km from the Hotel Villa Magdalena.<\/p><h4>The Old Village Museum, Kumrovec<\/h4><p>Museum \u201cThe Old Village\u201d Kumrovec is the unique open air museum in which are presented crafts and traditions of Croatian Zagorje between 19th and 20th century. The permanent exhibition of ethnographic and historical exhibitions are: weaving, gingerbread, pottery, blacksmith products and birthplace of Josip Broz Tito.<\/p><h4><br \/>Castles<\/h4><p>In Croatian Zagorje there is plenty of castles and manors which today are open as museums. Most recognizable ones are Veliki Tabor, Trako\u0161\u0107an and Be\u017eanec.<\/p><h4>CASTLE VELIKI TABOR<\/h4><p>Castle Veliki Tabor is located near the town of Desini\u0107. The first tower was built in the 12th century, the other semicircular towers were built in the 15th and 16th centuries and today&#8217;s appearance is from approximately 1820.<br \/>The most significant owners of the castle were the Counts Celjski, Ratkaj and the great croatian painter Oton Ivekovi\u0107.<br \/>Particular attention is given to the courtyard with a large 30-meter well and a large rustic hall decorated with helebards.<br \/>UNESCO rated the Castle as the highest category of monument.<\/p><h4>TRAKO\u0160\u0106AN CASTLE<\/h4><p>Trako\u0161\u0107an Castle was built in the 13th century and changed several owners. Over the centuries, the owners were Counts Celjski, general Jan Vitovac, Ivani\u0161 Korvin, and Ivan Gyulay. Marsal Juraj V. Dra\u0161kovi\u0107 reconstructed a neglected castle and transformed the environment into a romantic garden. Today, it is a mansion owned by the Republic of Croatia and has a permanent exhibition.<\/p><h4><br \/>CASTLE BE\u017dANEC<\/h4><p>The closest castle to Krapinske Toplice is the castle Be\u017eanec which is restored but can only be visited with previous announcement.<\/p><h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">OTHER SIGHTS<\/span><\/h4><p>Along with sights mentioned above, other cultural heritages include:<\/p><ul><li>The Peasants\u2019 revolt Museum in Gornja Stubica and Or\u0161i\u0107 Castle.<\/li><li>Zelenjak resort \u2013 monument to Croatian anthem \u201cLijepa na\u0161a\u201d<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cultural and history attractions Krapina Neanderthal Museum Krapina Neanderthal Museum covers a surface area of around 1,200 m\u00b2 and is one of the most modern museums in Croatia and central Europe.
